Ryan's musical focus revolves around traditional Scottish tunes, but he breathes new life into age-old and sometimes forgotten melodies through his unique approach. His fiddle artistry is characterized by fresh melodic innovations, an infectious rhythmic energy, and an impressive range of dynamics and precision. His signature sound takes the audience on an emotional and adventurous journey with each performance.
Ryan's latest album 'Just a Second' was released in the UK and Europe in October 2023 to critical acclaim "Young’s technical ability is simply jaw-dropping, the pace frantic, dizzying, triumphant."
