Leith Makers Summer Exhibition - a preview exhibition of resident artists work.
A richly diverse preview exhibition of original and locally hand-made work by resident artists Caitlin Bowbeer, Esther Cohen, Maggie Sadullah and MaryAnne Hunt.
This is the first time the resident artists at Leith Makers have shown work together. Work on display includes ceramics, paintings and prints that prefaces a more extensive month-long showcase exhibition of each artists work in October.
Themes of the work on show are as diverse as our artists and include:
* Scottish history, botany and folklore.
* Industrial landscapes found along the coastline from Leith to Skateraw.
* The fragility of life and and the outside risks that threaten to destroy it.
* Local scenes of ordinary life inspired by the Scottish Colourists painters.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
