About Peter Johnstone-Andy Middleton Trio feat. Stephen Henderson
The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra's keyboard master Peter Johnstone and American saxophonist Andy Middleton join with one of the UK's top drummers, Stephen Henderson to play grooving, organ-based jazz with spirit, soul and effervescence.
Johnstone's Hammond has featured in groups with vibes virtuoso Joe Locke and saxophonist Tommy Smith and with guitarists Jim Mullen and Rob Luft.
Middleton has recorded with luminaries including guitarist Ralph Towner, bassist Dave Holland and pianist Renee Rosnes and worked with David Bowie's late career partner, Maria Schneider.
Together with Henderson, whose musicality fuels pianist Fergus McCreadie's award-winning trio, they'll bring excitement, expressiveness and originality to the long-popular organ trio format.
