Eat and drink like a local! Get ready for a flavour-packed experience as we explore the nooks and crannies of this ancient city, sharing with you it’s rich history.
Come with us and our expert guides as we give you a flavour of the real Scotland. We’ll start in the Shadow of Edinburgh Castle, make our way through the Grassmarket, the hub of ancient Edinburgh’s social life and scene for so much of our torrid history, visit the world's first skyscraper via the famous and classic photo opportunity of Victoria Street, down the Royal Mile, past St Giles Cathedral and finish with a setting you can only find in Edinburgh, a restaurant hidden away down a centuries old side street near the Old Flodden Wall.
Our expert guide will delve into stories of Edinburgh’s long history, giving you an idea of what it was like to live in this Mediaeval walled city while also sharing some of the more contemporary stories and points of interest that make this such a wonderful city to live in and visit.
Dates: Every week, Thursday to Sunday
Of course, no visit to Scotland is complete without sampling our food and drink, some of the best in the world, and we’ll make sure you get your fair share of local delicacies including Scottish cheeses, venison charcuterie, locally roasted coffee, Cullen Skink soup, the fruit filled dessert of Cranachan, street foods and of course, haggis! Your thirst will be well catered for as well as we sup beer in a 500 year old tavern, sample locally pressed Scottish cider and have a truly unique experience as we toast our haggis with a guided whisky tasting in a scene you’ll only find in Edinburgh, in a private whisky snug, hidden away in one of The Royal Mile’s centuries old alleyways.
If you only have a couple of days or you're here for weeks, we’ll make sure you get to sample the best food, drink the best drinks, be thrilled by the most exciting stories and have a truly ‘Edinburgh’ experience you’ll remember forever.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
