Low Tide are an Edinburgh based Indie Rock band who formed in high school and have been playing together since June 2023. Their debut single "Between Knuckles" - a sardonic piece of fuzz punk social commentary inspired by a night where lead singer, Beau Johnston, was followed home - was released 4th of August 2023 and saw them sell out their debut headline show at Edinburgh's Sneaky Pete's in September of the same year. The band then quickly got to work playing shows all over Scotland including selling out their stage at Dunfermline's Outwith Festival.
Buoyed by further radio support for hook laden second single "Greek Islands" , including spins on BBC Introducing in Scotland, and legendary voice of Scottish Music Jim Gellatly, Low Tide started 2024 by making their King Tuts debut as support to fellow rising starlet Ben Walker’s sold out show - as well as playing to a packed house at Edinburgh’s La Belle Angelle in support of much loved mental health charity, Conscious.
After touring Scotland at the end of March (including another sold out Edinburgh headliner) and more time in the studio, the band will be gracing festival stages near you this Summer in support of latest single "Faces and Names" - which not only showcases their lyrical depth, but also their ability to write an unashamedly massive chorus. Written at a time of real change in their lives as they leave school, home, and certain people behind - it is sure to resonate with old and new fans alike.
