Art Exhibition: Immortals

About Art Exhibition: Immortals

Janice Deary is an artist from South Africa, who is now living and working in Scotland. 'Immortals' is an exhibition of drawings inspired by Daoist poetry.

Daoism is an ancient philosophy that encourages respect for the natural world and its cycles of growth and destruction. An immortal is one who has realised the Way: a sage, a poet, or even a tree.

The exhibition includes a series of large charcoal drawings, as well as a short stop-motion film.
