Hopetoun House & Grounds reopen for 2025 from Friday 18th April!
Step into history, immerse yourself in nature, and explore Scotland’s finest stately home.
Season Dates:
Friday 18th April – 28th September 2025
Open Thursday – Monday (11am – 5pm, last House entry at 4pm)
Closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays
Discover Scotland’s Living History:
Step inside Hopetoun House, an architectural masterpiece dating back to 1699. The interiors remain much as they were centuries ago, offering a rare glimpse into the past. Our knowledgeable guides will bring the history of Scotland’s finest stately home to life.
Experience Nature & Tranquillity:
Enjoy the changing seasons as you wander through Hopetoun’s scenic Grounds. Follow the Spring Garden Trail, where daffodils and bluebells signal the arrival of spring, or take in stunning coastal views along the Sea Walk Trail, overlooking the Firth of Forth.
Leashed dogs are welcome to explore the Grounds and can even enjoy a treat with you at The Stables Kitchen.
The Stables Kitchen:
Relax and refuel with homemade treats, artisan coffee, and a delicious selection of home-style fare at The Stables Kitchen.
Special chocolatey treats will be available over the opening weekend
Easter Weekend Activities:
Hopetoun’s Easter activities take place Friday 18th – Monday 21st April (12pm – 4pm), featuring:
Easter crafts in the Education Room
Easter Trail through the wooded parkland
Meet & greet with 'unicorns' & therapy horses on Easter Sunday! Want to take a unicorn for a guided walk? (£4 per walk)
House & Grounds tickets available online or at the gate.
