Under the Volcano: Wine Tasting

About Under the Volcano: Wine Tasting

A Volcanic Wine Tasting is coming to Leith this March!

There may not be a Volcano in sight but we'll be travelling right into one via the glass (it's one of our favourite ways to travel).

From active volcanic soils, to alluring grape varieties, incredible landscapes and geeky facts, you’ll experience the unique character these wines have and learn why they are beloved worldwide.

About this event:

Join us at Port of Leith Distillery in Leith, Scotland on Sunday, 24 March 2024 at 6.00pm, for an explosively fun evening

On arrival you'll be treated to an inspired aperitif to settle you into the beautiful location and give you time to enjoy the views.

And then the tasting will begin!

What'll you get in that, you ask?
- 6 x Volcanic Wines,
- A Story filled Masterclass, and
- Delicious Charcuterie/Cheese to nibble on!

Wine Expert Isobel Salamon will lead you on your volcanic adventure. During which you'll taste scrumptious wines from all over the globe, including wines from the moon like craters of Lanzarote, ones showing the intriguing flavours of Sicily, before jetting over to Greece and even having a sniff around Hungary.

So pop your sunglasses on and get your tastebuds fired up.

This tasting is all about inclusivity and having fun. So whether you're a wine novice, something of an expert or simply love getting out and trying new experiences, this one is for you.

Tickets are extremely limited so get in fast!

------------------------------------------------------------------

Please arrive within your assigned time. This ensures we can move you safely in and get the tasting started. If you are running late please contact us.

About:

Slonk is an international wine consultancy brand dedicated to working with Winemakers, Sommeliers, Venue Owners, Importers and more to provide on demand sommelier services, and create an inclusive atmosphere for education, inspiration and team/business development, all while demystifying wine.

The Port of Leith Distillery is a new Scotch Whisky distillery in Edinburgh's historic port district of Leith. It will become Scotland's first vertical distillery to operate for over 100 years! The Port of Leith brand also produces two Sherry wines that are crafted from Bodegas Baron, a 480 year old producer with a very modern outlook. Sherry plays a crucial role in transforming the character of many of Scotland’s best-loved whiskies, and this sherry will enhance their own whisky.
