Cumbiatones is a psychedelic Cumbia band based in Edinburgh (Scotland). Formed in 2021, Cumbiatones combines traditional cumbia rhythms from Perú (Chicha music), Argentina and Colombia with rock, psychedelic sounds and energetics riff to burn up the dance floor.
A band made up of musicians from different nationalities such as Chile, Argentina, Spain and Scotland demonstrates the deep fusion within their original songs. Salsa, rock, flamenco and blues merge within the framework of Cumbia, leaving a latin flavour in cold Scotland.
In 2023 Cumbiatones released their first original studio song ‘Hombre de Sal’. Which has garnered very good reviews among its audience, becoming a ‘must’ at all their concerts.
