During the last thirty years, Art In Healthcare have established a vast collection of artworks that have been placed in healthcare settings across Scotland. The collection includes works by artists at various points of their career, featuring painting, drawing, printmaking and photography.
It is a unique collection, with works over the years being either purchased, gifted or loaned directly from artists or their family and friends. Furthermore, they have commissioned works, offering opportunities for artists to create new work for healthcare settings. Each work in the collection has been selected or donated because of its potential to help people feel better.
Art in Healthcare: Stories of the Collection is an exhibition that aims to not just simply tell the story of the artwork presented, but to discuss the journey of how the artwork led to being part of the collection, and its impact on people who have experienced the work. It is an opportunity to celebrate works from our collection and their stories.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
