About Return to Tutankhamun
In November 1990, Maria MacDonell accompanied Margaret Orr to the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. Margaret, then the last living witness to the famous excavation, was revisiting the tomb of Tutankhamun, for the first time in 67 years.
In this memorable BBC documentary, broadcast only once, in 1991, their epic adventure stirs remarkable memories.
Join us for the film, followed by Q&A with director Mike Healey, Maria MacDonell and Chris Lee who, in a Lochwinnoch cottage, first heard Margaret’s amazing tale.
