Witness Beethoven's most challenging, profound and emotional piano sonatas performed live in our atmospheric candlelit chapel setting!
"Matthew Shiel shone" (ThisWeek Culture)
Sink into your seat with a complimentary hot chocolate as award-winning pianist Matthew Shiel performs three of Beethoven's most passionate, emotionally raw and technically demanding piano sonatas including his 'Pathétique' and 'Moonlight' Sonatas - performed by atmospheric candlelight in our special candlelit chapel setting. Our programme is rounded off with his iconic 'Für Elise,' and Beethoven's nod to Scotland - it might surprise you Beethoven enjoyed composing Highland dances in mock-Scottish style!
These candlelit concert experiences are a wonderful way to wind down after a busy week - ticket includes a complimentary hot chocolate to enhance the relaxing experience.
Tonight, this magnificent and historic 19th century chapel is transformed by moonlight and candlelight into a place of inspiration as we celebrate Ludwig van Beethoven, one of the greatest musicians of all time and pay tribute to a true musical icon!
