About:
Slonk is an international wine consultancy brand dedicated to working with Winemakers, Sommeliers, Venue Owners, Importers and more to provide on demand sommelier services, and create an inclusive atmosphere for education, inspiration and team/business development, all while demystifying wine.
The Port of Leith Distillery is a new Scotch Whisky distillery currently under construction in Edinburgh's historic port district of Leith. It will become Scotland's first vertical distillery to operate for over 100 years! The Port of Leith brand also produces two Sherry wines that are crafted from Bodegas Baron, a 480 year old producer with a very modern outlook. Sherry plays a crucial role in transforming the character of many of Scotland’s best-loved whiskies, and this sherry will enhance their own whisky.
Diatomists is the story of three friends - Antonio from Jerez, George from Oxford, and Tommy from Barcelona - who share a passion for wine produced in the Appellation of Jerez and have over 20 years combined experience in the wine trade, the Diatomists team explore every corner of this southernmost point of Andalucia in search of winemakers committed to excellence. They are part of a new wave of winemakers determined to put the soil and the fruit back in the spotlight, producing wine that clearly reflects the vines’ terroir alongside the solera in which it matured.
International Sherry Week is an annual festival that brings together the vibrant worldwide community of Sherry-lovers in a myriad of innovative and inspirational global events, both online and offline. For the 10th year International Sherry Week, the world’s largest celebration of wines from Southern Spain, will bring the delights of this fabulously versatile wine to homes, bars, restaurants and wine stores alike across four continents throughout the week of 6th - 12th November 2023.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
