The Levant is a region rich in hospitality, history, flavours, fragrances, stories and culture. Scottish storytellers Dougie Mackay and Janis Mackay return from Jordan with love and tales to tell, reflecting upon their shared experience of the ‘Mujawara’ sharing with storytellers from across the Arab world.
Conjuring tales of Djinn, giants and wise women telling tales so they may live, come on a journey through bustling alleys, lined with sacks of hibiscus, zaatar and frankincense, hear the call to prayer under clear skies and crescent moon or shade from the midday heat in ancient mountain temples. A live musical soundscape is brought by Moroccan Gnawa music from Omar Afif.
