Headlined and hosted by two of Scotland's finest spoken word performers, Paul Case and Lloyd Robinson, with support from superb performance poet Georgia Bartlett-McNeil.
Whether you’re seeking moving poetry, explosive theatre, side-splitting comedy or captivating storytelling, there’s bound to be something for you at SOUND THE KLAXON.
Paul Case is a punk spoken word performer, writer, actor and event producer, and has been writing and performing a Molotov cocktail of stories, poems and monologues since 2008. He has featured for some of the UK's major spoken word organisers such as Loud Poets. Hammer & Tongue, Bang! Said The Gun and Apples & Snakes. He has performed all over the UK as well as in Germany, Malaysia, Thailand and extensively in Australia. His solo theatre show, Dead White Anarchists, toured the UK between 2018 – 2022. His new show, Rogues So Banished, is in pre-production. “A masterclass of storytelling” – Bristol 24/7
Lloyd Robinson is a writer and theatre maker who combines poignant storytelling with absurdist humour. He has been featured by Loud Poets, Falkirk Storytelling Festival, Stanza Festival, Sonnet Youth, and Hidden Door Festival. He is also a multiple slam winner, including Axis Slam 2018, Loud Poets Glasgow Slam 2015, and the Four Cities Slam 2016. He has placed 2nd in the Scottish National Slam Championship in 2019.
Georgia Bartlett-McNeil is a poet living just outside of Edinburgh. The current reigning Loud Poets Central Belt Slam champion, she's been performing across Scotland for the best part of a decade, including supporting Shane Koyczan in 2017 during his world tour. Known as the Queen of Imagery, her poems cover a range of topics, and can go from hilarious to hard-hitting in just a few well-chosen words.
