Cellist Carla Moujahed-Coste will be performing Bach's Suite No.1 in G major and Suite No.2 in D minor, and Paul Hindemith's Sonata for Cello.
Carla Moujahed-Coste was born in Lyon in 2003. She started the cello at the age of seven at the Conservatory of Lyon. At 13 years old, she joined Augustin Lefebvre's class and obtained her diploma with honours. In 2021, she was admitted to the higher national conservatory of music of Lyon in the class of Emmanuelle Bertrand. At the same time, Carla has been taught by renowned teachers such as Gautier Capuçon,Frans Helmerson, Anne Gastinel, Marc Coppey, Raphaël Pidoux, Jérôme Pernoo, Raphaël Merlin, ChuYi Bing... in various master-classes.
Carla has won several prizes in differents competitions, including the 1st prize in the international "Luigi Cerritelli" competition. (June 2021), 1st prize at the "Flame" competition (June 2019), the "Promising Talent" prize at the "Classical Talents" competition (May 2018) and 1st prize at the "Les petites mains symphoniques" competition (2012) She played Saint-Saëns' Concerto No. 1 with the Grenoble orchestra at the Talents Classiques competition prize-giving ceremony. (2018) She took part in the "Un été en France" tour, sharing the stage with Gautier Capucon during the summer of 2023. She plays a cello by Frank Ravatin designed in 2012 and generously loaned by the Talents & Violoncelles Association.
