About the artists:
Faex Optim:
Faex Optim has released some of the finest dusty downtempo electronic music in recent years including “Look Around You”, “Adventures In Nature” and “Let’s Pretend”. In addition, he’s remixed and collaborated with artists and labels including PBS73, Kahvi Collective, Krystian Shek and Sven Kossler. His upcoming LP – Crystal Pleasures, releasing on Werra Foxmas Records – ups the tempo with progressive rhythms, soaring melodies and melancholy layers, creating a deep, visceral audio experience.
Tayus:
Tayus are Mike K Smith and Alasdair O’May. Alasdair uses a modular synthesis rig to create stems. Mike uses these stems within Ableton, and takes those core sounds and tries to augment them, rather than transform them. The main aim is to preserve the atmosphere, feel and texture of those sounds as much as possible.
