For one night only, Edinburgh’s hidden streets stir once more.

Step beneath the Royal Mile and into the beating heart of 17th-century Edinburgh with Underground Unlocked—an exclusive, after-hours event at The Real Mary King’s Close. Roam freely for up to two hours, and meet the people who once called this mysterious warren of streets home.

From plague doctors and poets to merchants and cleaners of the dead, encounter up to 13 characters brought vividly back to life. Listen to their stories, feel their fears, and witness the bustling life that once thrived here.

Choose your entry slot between 18.00 and 20.30, and uncover centuries of history as the Close reawakens around you.

This rare event is self-guided, immersive, and utterly unforgettable.
