Did you know the first members of the Royal Family to sail aboard the new Royal Yacht Britannia in 1954 were Their Royal Highnesses Prince Charles and Princess Anne?
On the weekend of 6 & 7 May, we join the nation in marking the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. Step aboard to see the Royal residence aboard which King Charles enjoyed annual summer holidays throughout his childhood and in later years, where His Majesty brought his own sons to relax on family trips to the Western Isles.
During this landmark weekend, The Royal Yacht Britannia will be open, ready to welcome all those who are looking for a unique way to spend this moment in modern history. Explore all five decks of the Royal Yacht, from the State Apartments, the accommodation and living space of the Royal Family, to the Naval quarters, home to 220 Royal Yachtsmen.
Visitors will be able to raise a glass to The King in the Royal Deck Tea Room with our Coronation Special: a Coronation chicken sandwich, scone/choice of cake, a pot of tea/cup of coffee and a glass of Gusbourne English sparkling wine.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
