Edinburgh Seafood Festival

About Edinburgh Seafood Festival

Edinburgh Seafood Festival is back from Saturday 3rd – Monday 5th May, bringing the world of Scottish seafood to the Quarter in what’s sure to be an action-packed, fun filled weekend!

Guests can experience the world of Scottish seafood in the heart of the city. With live cooking demonstrations, intimate supper clubs and exclusive dishes, there’s a menu of sea-inspired activities for everyone across the May Bank Holiday weekend.

The Seafood Stage:

Get a front-row seat as gastronomic geniuses from the Quarter and beyond host interactive cooking demonstrations and masterclasses on The Seafood Stage hosted by Phil MacHugh.

In their masterclasses, chefs and mixologists from across the city will serve up a selection of delicious dishes and cocktails, using locally sourced ingredients, and share their top tips and industry secrets for creating restaurant quality food at home. This year, guests can take home an exclusive Edinburgh Seafood Festival recipe card featuring a selection of inspiring recipes to recreate in their own kitchens.

On Saturday 3rd May, we will be joined by delicious. magazine editorial director Laura Rowe and head of food Tom Shingler at the Seafood Stage for interactive chats with our chefs.

This year’s line-up includes Sandy Browning (Ka Pao), Jimmy Lee (Salt & Chilli Oriental), Rohan Wadke (MasterChef Professionals), Teddy Lee (Maki & Ramen) and Barry Bryson (Barry Fish).

Oyster Giveaway:

Join us for the Edinburgh Seafood Festival oyster giveaway on Saturday 3rd May and Sunday 4th May.

We’ll be joined by The Oysterman who will give away 100 free oysters to guests at 14:30 each day!

Family Fun:

Offering fun for all the family, children can learn about the underwater world and take part in interactive activities including under-the-sea-themed face painting.

Local attraction Little Plaza will host our family zone on Level 3 with crafts, activities, magic and music for all the family across the weekend — there’s something for all ages to join in!

Children will also have the chance to meet a mermaid with two meet-and-greet sessions on Saturday 3rd May.

Seafood Specials:
Indulge with seafood specials and menus in some of the Quarter’s most exciting dining and drinking destinations who will embrace the festival with exclusive dishes available for one weekend only.

Produce Market:
Discover our local produce market on Level 1 and pick up the perfect accompaniments for enjoying delicious seafood at home.

Seafood Supper Clubs:
For a completely unique experience foodies will love, St James Quarter is bringing back its much-loved Supper Clubs, where guests can enjoy a curated menu from a leading chef in an intimate setting.

Taking place in a state-of-the art kitchen space in Miele’s Experience Centre, guests are invited to take a seat around the Chef’s table for exclusive dinners over the Seafood weekend.

With 12 tickets only available for each supper club, these intimate experiences are bound to sell out.
