About Primes, Ten 80 Trees, Forgetting the future

Right bang in the middle of Scotland, in the shadow of Edinburgh and with the influence of Glasgow, Primes formed in November 2017 in a small town called Falkirk. In that time, Primes have gone from small support shows to sold out headline shows and featured at multiple festivals throughout the UK including Belladrum, Party At The Palace and Vibration Festival. 12 singles have solidified their sound within the Scottish music scene. Receiving critical acclaim from national and local press including BBC Scotland, Amazing Radio, The Scotsman and The Sun. Supported by Spotify with tracks being added to editorial playlists. The band are becoming known for their own brand of pop tinged alternative rock with anthemic choruses and melodies you’ll struggle to forget. Their 6 track debut E.P. “Colour” is out everywhere now.

Blossoming out of the post-industrial North of England, Ten Eighty Trees have been blazing a turquoise trail across the UK with their pulsating blend of rock. Since launching onto the scene, the band have earned a reputation for their infectious alternative rock anthems and enthralling live shows. Having previously performed alongside the likes of We Are Scientists, Jake Bugg, King No-One, AllUsInLove, The Virginmarys, Blackwaters and Avalanche Party, Ten Eighty Trees have also featured on North-East festival line-ups as well as playing over. Sheffield’s Tramlines weekend since their inception. 6 Music’s Tom Robinson has also proved to be a fan of Ten Eighty Tree’s rock maximalism having dropped the band’s previous singles on his BBC Introducing shows on the station.

Forgetting The Future are a 4 piece indie rock act from the most Northerly part of Scotland called Thurso. The band consists of Robbie McNicol, Connor Wilson, Max Paul and Jamie Mackay. Their first recording was with Scottish legend Edwyn Collins in 2016 who charted in the UK back in the early 80’s with his band “Orange Juice”. In January 2019, FTF signed to Ken Allardyce (who has worked with Green Day, Fleetwood Mac , Weezer plus many more) & his partner Alan Greer’s record label “InTime Records”. Their eagerly anticipated debut album “Broken Phones & Hormones” was released in February 2020 along with 3 single releases, the first being “Bluetooth“ accompanied by a music video, “Cymru” and then “Sara Tonin” which exceeded expectations of music critics throughout Britain all the way over to LA. This album has caught the attention of some National Radio stations such as BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, CO-OP Radio, Rob Fiddaman on The Hit Mix, EGH Radio & more. Certain songs on the album have also had coverage from top blogs & Newspapers such as The Scotsman Newspaper, Netsounds, New Found Sounds, Snake Oil Music News, Alloa Advertiser & many more. Forgetting The Future have already been booked for several music festivals in 2022 with an explosive energy and captive stage presence, they are creating an excitement between other bands around the UK music circuit. 2022 looks like a big year for these lads.
