Edinburgh Studio Opera returns for three evening performances of Strauss' Die Fledermaus sung in English at The Pleasance Edinburgh from 8th to 11th March!
About Die Fledermaus (an English-Language Production)
Prince Orlofsky’s annual New’s Years Eve annual ball unfolds with mistaken identities, revenge plots, half-truths and more in Edinburgh Studio Opera’s (ESO) upcoming English-language production of Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss. As usual, it seems the champagne might be the real culprit compared to all our rabble-rousers!
Join us on the 8th, 10th, and 11th of March, at Pleasance Theatre, with the Edinburgh University Chamber Orchestra and renowned Musical Director, Will Conway. Vienna-born Katarina Keck brings her own twist to the classic as ESO’s first student Artistic Director, in addition to serving as the production’s choreographer and dialogue writer.
ESO is a fully student-run, not-for-profit society dedicated to providing young performers with a chance to participate in a fully-staged opera every year.
