Ode to the Scottish Play

For the first time ever, Lyceum Youth Theatre and 60+ come together on our main stage to present a festival of performances in response to William Shakespeare’s Macbeth.

Ode to the Scottish Play

About Ode to the Scottish Play

Spread over three spellbinding evenings, the groups invite audiences on a journey to meet some of the unheard voices of the play in ways you might not expect. Revisit famous scenes from a different perspective and meet everyone from the forgotten fourth Witch to the mysterious Third Murderer. We are all familiar with the prophecy that the three witches bestowed upon Macbeth, and the ill-fated consequences that follow. Now they are sharing the untold fortunes of the less infamous characters that are lost within Macbeth's story.

We let our groups' imaginations go wild as we explored the hidden world and silent characters within one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays.
