Laser Engraving - Taster Workshop
This short taster class will give you an overview of what the laser cutter can do in terms of engraving different materials.
About Laser Engraving - Taster Workshop
Giving you an introduction into how to prepare files for laser cutting, and produce a small piece of laser cut. We also have a separate laser engraving class that compliments this one.
ABOUT TASTER WORKSHOPS:
Please note that short Taster workshops are not intended as stand-alone access courses. Due to the short nature of this workshop, we do lots of the preparation for you and streamline the process so you get a finished print at the end of the day. This does mean that you will need more training before you are self-sufficient in this process and are able to work in the studio without assistance. To use Edinburgh Printmakers open access studio facilities, you will need to attend a weekend course or have some 1-1 training or an induction before becoming an associate member. How much further training is required is based on each individual's previous printmaking experience.
