Come join the party at the Sprogmanay Family Ceilidh, an afternoon of ceilidh dancing and fun on New Year’s Day hosted by the incredible Fruin Ceilidh Band.

A fun, relaxed ‘have-a-go’ environment suitable for all levels of experience, and a great way to introduce kids to the joys of ceilidh dancing and music.

Fruin Ceilidh Band are a lively fiddle-led band, with driving rhythms to get you up dancing and having a great ceilidh. They have played all over the world from the highlands of Scotland to China and always guarantee a brilliant dance. They have an expert caller who can teach the dances to ensure that everyone can join in and enjoy themselves.

Only a short walk from the Sprogmanay events programme in the National Museum of Scotland, you can stay for the afternoon or drop-in and out of sessions if you need to catch your breath…

Dancing from 2pm with dances called as needed.
All children must be accompanied by an adult
