Edinburgh's best free night out takes over Bonnie & Wild's Scottish Marketplace with this fun, friendly and sometimes frenetic evening of Scottish country dancing!
Head to the legendary White Heather Club on Level 4 of the St James Quarter on the last Thursday of every month.
Get your (comfy) dancing shoes on and spruce up your outfit with a bonnie bit of
tartan and head along to monthly ceilidh for an evening of dancing, friendship, good fun and cheer. Prepare to be twirled, whirled and birled in classic Highland dances such as the Dashing White Sergeant, Orcadian Strip the Willow and the Gay Gordons, with music from The Charlie Kirkpatrick Trio, one of Scotland's best Ceilidh bands.
Our White Heather Club ceilidhs occur on the last Thursday of every month. Book your place using the button below.
And don't worry if you don't know the moves! Charlie will call out the steps and make sure everyone enjoys themselves and has a braw time!
And have we mentioned that prizes? Each month we give out a host of vouchers and other goodies to the bonniest dancers, while our friends at the ScotlandShop will be on hand to talk all things tartan, while their giant throne is a perfect backdrop for your Insta selfies!
Free entry and all welcome. Food and drink available from our Scottish Marketplace.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
