About In A World... (2013)

Can Carol Solomon (Lake Bell) the daughter of Sam Sotto(Fred Melamed), a man who is known as the king of the VoiceOver, escape his shadow?

Lake Bell really is a pleasant enigma that more people need to become acquainted with. A natural comic performer, with a glorious voice, she wrote, directed and starred in this perfectly realised comedy-drama about the very real anxiety of influence and how a woman carves out a space for herself in an industry dominated by powerful male egos, especially her own father.

What marks In a World... out as a unique proposition is the way that it shines a light on the invisible world of the voice actor. It's an ingenious and deeply personal film that rarely misses a comic beat.
