Two fringe previews in The Banshee Labyrinth CINEMA ROOM:
AMELIA BAYLER: Greatest Hits!
A rapid-fire musical comedy trip through the insanities of the everyday with hooks you’ll be singing in the shower. Best Newcomer at the Scottish Comedy Awards. ‘Snack food, nu-rave pioneer, filling the room with energy, the earwig quality of her tunes carrying her set’ (Scotsman). ‘It is a charming, anarchic, and often pizza-focused experience’ (Herald). ‘Rising star of the Scottish circuit’ (Skinny). As seen on BBC Scotland’s The Comedy Underground, BBC Short Stuff, Channel 4 Sparks and BBC Sounds. Twitter: @ameliabayler
and
SOUP GROUP!
Two chefs stir up a lot of chaos in this silly, physical comedy. Soup Group is a clowning double act who perform regularly for audiences of all ages. The show is a mixture of slapstick, surrealism and creative messing about. From the minds of Phil O'Shea ('Utter, delicious nonsense' (Fest)) and James McIntosh ('The next Ross Noble' (Skinny)). 'Props based clowning, positions them somewhere between Spencer Jones and Tommy Cooper’ (Telegraph).
