The multi-award winning singer-songwriter melds influences ranging from jazz and folk to reggae and neo-soul.
Her third album ‘Arise’ was co-produced by drummer Moses Boyd and is a product of their exploration of the meeting points between British jazz sounds and the traditional rhythms of Jamaica. After catching the attention of Giles Peterson, she's since collaborated with Gregory Porter and Shabaka Hutchings showcasing her splendid, scintillatingly clear voice, which reminds some of Nina Simone, others of Cassandra Wilson.
