In this workshop on 26th May participants will learn how to use old t-shirts, fabrics scraps, buttons, beads and other embellishments for a personalised piece of wearable textile art.

About Upcycle Clothes: T-Shirt Necklaces Workshop

Rescue an old t-shirt from landfill and transform it into a unique necklace and matching bracelet.

In this workshop participants will learn how to use old t-shirts, fabrics scraps, buttons, beads and other embellishments for a personalised piece of wearable textile art. This only requires simple techniques, such as cutting, glueing and sewing by hand, all of which will be explained during the session.

:What you’ll need to bring:
- 1 – 2 second-hand t-shirts in fairly good condition
- Any embellishments: For example fabric scraps, ribbons and threads, buttons, sequins, feathers, beads, parts of old broken or unwanted jewellery (we also have few of those at The Remakery so you can choose from our stock too)
Paper/ notebook and pen

This workshop with Edinburgh artist Isabell Buenz offers a fun and relaxing experience for all abilities and anybody with an interest in upcycling and art.
