This workshop is taking place over two days on the 24th and 31st May from 5.30pm - 7pm.
Join our expert technician Thomas Greig as he delves inside desktops and laptops, walking you through the common interchangeable parts that make up these devices and demystifying your devices.
The first session will focus on laptops and cover best practices for maintenance, helping you find the safest way to access your devices. Thomas will walk you through the various ways you can maintain and upgrade your laptop, keeping it working better for longer.
The second session will look at desktop computers. Thomas will discuss how PC’s work, how to keep them maintained and show how to disassemble and reassemble a computer from start to finish. This will be a hugely useful session for anyone interested in or looking to build their own PC from scratch to give them helpful advice and safety tips.
What you’ll need to bring – Just yourself! We will provide protective gloves, electronic equipment and tools for teardown.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
