About Altered Books/Book Sculpture Workshop
Explore the world of ’Altered Books’ and rescue your second-hand books from landfill.
During this 3 hour workshop you will learn to transform old and discarded books into pieces of sculptural art. You will create your own unique treasure using simple techniques with surprising results.
Learn how to fold, tear, cut, glue, stamp, paint and stitch the pages of your chosen book. Decorate your creation with collage, pockets, small 3D objects, papier-mâché and other embellishments.
What you’ll need to bring - Unwanted books, in any condition and size!
