CineNights by Cinescapes is so excited to bring some shenanigans to the roof with our March 'Some Like it Hot' screening.
About this event:
On Sunday, 20 March 2022 we’re transforming Rooftop 51 at Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge into a pop up micro cinema with a screening of Billy Wilder's 1959 crime filled RomCom 'Some Like it Hot'.
'Some Like it Hot' is an irresistible classic featuring Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon as two musicians on the run after witnessing a terrible mob hit. Yikes! How do they hide? By disguising themselves as women of course in an all female band. This is where the magic begins as it quickly becomes clear the two have bitten off more than they can chew as romance, friendship and many consequences ensue. Expect big laughs, sizzling dialogue and a very lovely Marilyn Monroe.
So why not come along and be transported to the picturesque seaside through a musical buddy comedy quite unlike any other! Plus the soundtrack delivers with some wicked tracks.
Tickets are £20 per person and include popcorn, a specially crafted Martinez Cocktail that we'll have the amazing Louis from Highland Liquor Company whipping up on the day for us, as well as a live one hour music set on arrival and popcorn
Arrive from 4 pm to listen to the music, enjoy a drink and snag a good viewing point for the movie.
Screening starts at5 pm with a 20 minute intermission at 6pm.
This is cinema done in style, so grab a couple of pals, book your seats and watch ‘Some Like if Hot’ play on a beautiful rooftop.
