This 8 weeks textiles course is ideal for those who has a special interest in textiles or screen-printing and would like to take this interest further using a variety of fabric, dyes and inks to achieve different effects and finishes, i.e. pigment, devore, discharge, illuminated discharge.
This course also includes an introduction to creating repeat patterns and an overview of the basics for screen and fabric preparation, so will suit any skill and experience level.
Participants will get the opportunity to discuss their objectives at the beginning of the course, so subjects learned throughout can be tailored to a specific project or question you have in mind. You will also get plenty tutored/ supervised studio practice time throughout this course, with a peer & tutor critique/ review throughout the course.
There will be plenty time for play & experimentation, with the help of an experienced tutor on hand to ask questions while getting real-time experience of what it’s like to create in a printing studio.
Classes will run every SATURDAY from 10am – 1pm for 8 weeks. (April 23rd - June 11th OR October 1st - November 19th)
