Ahead of Burns Night, join us at the Palace of Holyroodhouse to celebrate the work of Scottish poet Robert Burns.
Miniature books and a little poetry -
There are several books by Robert Burns in the Royal Collection- including a number of miniature books! Try your hand at making a miniature book, and write a tiny poem inside, taking inspiration from the poetry of Scotland’s National Bard.
Burns, Bards and Beyond -
In this Year of Scotland’s Stories, explore some of the many works of Scottish literature written by court poets here at the Palace of Holyroodhouse; discover stories written about Scottish royalty and royal history by authors and playwrights; and find out some surprising connections between objects in the Royal Collection and works of literature, including works by Burns himself.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
