In September 2022 the King's will close for two years for a major redevelopment, so next Christmas we are bringing all the sparkle, scale and spectacle of the King's Panto - to the Festival Theatre!
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will run from Saturday 17th December 2022 to Sunday 2nd January 2023 and will star pantomime favourites Allan Stewart, Grant Stott and Jordan Young.
Allan Stewart has enjoyed an extensive career in stand-up, music and musical theatre for a number of decades. On stage Allan has appeared in numerous Royal Variety Performances and performed to critical acclaim in the Olivier Award winning musical Jolson the Musical. A mainstay of pantomime, Allan has appeared at the King’s Theatre in Edinburgh every year since 1998 and holds the venue’s record for playing Dame more times than any other actor.
Grant Stott is a BBC Radio Scotland presenter and panto veteran and this will mark his 28th pantomime, and the 22nd consecutive season for Capital Theatres. Grant can be heard on The Afternoon Show and Grant Stott’s Vinyl Collective (both BBC Radio Scotland) and is currently starring in BBC’s River City.
Jordan Young is best-known for playing bad boy Alex Murdoch in River City, a role for which he won a Best Scottish Actor award. He’s also known as PC Jack McLaren in BBC Scotland’s BAFTA-winning improvised comedy series Scot Squad.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is produced by the world’s biggest pantomime producer, Crossroads Pantomimes, and will be spectacularly brought to life with an abundance of comedy, sensational song and dance numbers, fabulous costumes and stunning scenery. Throw in a magical mirror, seven friendly dwarfs, a beautiful princess, a handsome prince and plenty of audience participation and you have the perfect recipe to outwit the Wicked Queen and let love prevail in this glittering festive treat for all ages.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
