Saturday 23rd October 10am-6pm
Sunday 24th October 11am-5pm
To support Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Victoria's Secret and breast cancer charity Future Dreams are taking to the road to raise awareness and support for those dealing with breast cancer, up and down the country.
On the bus, two services are available to book – a natural nail manicure and a chat with a breast care nurse.
We are inviting women who are going through, or have been through, breast cancer to book where we will also be offering support to partners, husbands, friends and family.
Everyone needs help after a breast cancer diagnosis and Future Dreams offers practical and emotional support as well as funding vital research and promoting breast awareness.
It has been confirmed that we estimate nearly 1.5 million fewer women in the UK had breast cancer screening between March 2020 and May 2021 compared to pre-pandemic. This is a 50% increase since services restarted. Additionally, this means that we estimate nearly 12,000 people in the UK could have been living with undiagnosed breast cancer at the end of May 2021 due to the impact of the pandemic on breast screening services and fewer women being referred to specialists with possible symptoms of the disease since March 2020.
o 1,500,000…missed UK breast screenings during COVID-19
o 12,000…women estimated to be living in the UK with undiagnosed breast cancer
o 1-in-7…women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime
o 10-mins…the frequency a women in the UK is given a breast cancer diagnosis
