We offer animation and filmmaking workshops that allow participants to use their creativity to tell their own story.
If you are ages 12-18 and interested in animation, get signed up to our Stop-Motion Sundays workshop!
Get signed up for this 5 week animation course and learn all about stop-motion! Throughout the sessions you will learn different aspects from the stop motion process from building your own puppet to animating different materials such as clay and lego.
What skills will participants learn?
The key animation skills participants will learn from these sessions will be puppet making, how to animate using stop-motion software, pixelation, walk cycles and how to compose a stop-motion scene. While working on this course, there will also be development in important soft skill areas such as teamwork, communication and self-confidence.
What do you need to bring?
We will provide all the equipment, materials, experience and animation know how - you bring the creativity.
Please be advised that this workshop may use physical materials such as plasticine, clay, and sand. We would advise participants wear old clothes.
This workshop runs for 5 weeks every Sunday, starting on the 7th of November at 12:30pm and finishing on the 5th of December. Each session will be 2 hours long.
Growth Workshops are run by professional animators and filmmakers with a lot of experience working with a diverse range of young people of all ages. We are committed in cultivating a safe space to learn and create in and that is why as a studio we ensure all delivery staff are covered by the PVG Disclosure Scotland scheme.
