About Scotland’s Gardens Scheme Open Garden: Camptoun House

Built in the early 1800s, Camptoun House is a Georgian family house surrounded by eight acres of private garden and paddocks. The gardens comprise a walled garden with herbaceous borders and rose beds, an orchard, a kitchen garden, a kids play area and a small 'fairy wood'. Close to the house is a more formal style. The family keeps bees and favours bee and wildlife friendly planting wherever possible.

Camptoun, East Lothian EH39 5BA - Shane Corstorphine

Directions: Camptoun House is situated on the C106 road between Haddington and Drem. Coming from Haddington, after 1.6 miles you will cross the B1343 by East Garleton, heading north staying on the C106. The house is a further 0.6 miles on the left hand side. Please park in the field beside the house which will be clearly signed. The house is 1.6 miles from Drem station and 0.6 miles from East Garleton bus stop (Athelstaneford route).
