In light of updated Scottish Government advice regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have taken the decision to close public access to our staffed properties and offices until further notice. All planned public events will also be postponed until further notice – full details of these can be found on our Events page in the coming days: historicenvironment.scot/whats-on.
All events are aimed at children aged between 8 and 12. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Tuesday 30th June - Eye nose it!
Use all your senses to explore the Peel in a whole new way.
Tuesday 7th July - Wild at Art
Try your hand at weaving and sculpture making, using only what nature has to offer!
Tuesday 14th July - Bioblitz Blast
The Peel is bursting with life at this time of year. Help the Rangers carry out some wildlife surveys and see how many different species you can find.
Tuesday 21st July - Bush-crafty
Do you have what it takes to survive a night in the woods? Thankfully we don't have to, but come along to this session if you'd like to learn how to build a den, light a fire and look after yourself in the wilds.
Tuesday 28th July - Buzzin' about Bees
Find out why this amazing wee insect is so important and what you can do to give it a helping hand.
Tuesday 4th August - Make it snappy
Bring a camera phone and see the Peel from a whole new angle.
Tuesday 11th August - Orien-tree-ing
Take part in our tree-mendously tricky trail and see if you can find them all!
All events are free but booking is essential for all except for 11th August.
