Running since 1986, the Loony Dook has grown in popularity year on year with thousands of people raiding their fancy-dress cupboards in a bid to ring in the new year in style and win best dressed on the beach.
We are looking at a 9.30am start to the dook as the tide isn't the greatest, but don't we all enjoy an early morning stroll down to the shore, gets the blood pumping, then home to start the new years dinner.
As always, if yer dooking, fancy dress is always encouraged, but not essential, 100% no wetsuits, thats cheating!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
