From a cosy fireplace framed by glittering trees, to a flurry of letters spilling upward with a watchful owl perched among them, to a dreamy sky of drifting clouds and twinkling stars above the grand-hall-inspired dining room, the space is filled with lush garlands wrapping the banquettes and Christmas trees shimmering with wondrous displays. Whimsical gifts and hidden surprises peek from every corner, while tables glow softly with candlelight, inviting guests into a season of festive revelry and imagination.
Alex Winter, General Manager at Duck & Waffle Edinburgh, said:
“Each year we love creating something that captures the imagination and spirit of the season, and Chamber of Magic is our most enchanting transformation yet. We wanted to bring a sense of wonder and playfulness to the restaurant — a place where guests can escape the ordinary, share great food and drink, and feel part of a truly magical story.”
Throughout the season, Duck & Waffle Edinburgh guests can enjoy a selection of festive specials alongside a 3-course Festive Set Menu, featuring dishes such as Roasted Pumpkin Soup, Braised Ox Cheek Beef Bourguignon, Roasted Norfolk Bronze Turkey, and Apple & Orange Mince Pie Crumble.
On Christmas Day, guests will be treated to a 4-course feast where traditional ingredients are reimagined with Duck & Waffle’s signature creativity. Highlights include Honey Baked Brioche, Lobster & Prawn Cocktail with Avruga caviar, Norfolk Bronze Turkey with all the trimmings, Pave of Salmon, and a decadent Spiced Baba au Rhum dessert.
At the bar, guests can toast the season with limited-edition Bacardi cocktails. Highlights include Wizard’s Butter Brew, made with Bacardi Spiced rum, Angostura bitters, allspice liqueur, ginger ale, and caramel foam; Sorcerer’s Reserve, a smooth and smoky blend of Bacardi Reserva Ocho rum, Pedro Ximénez, Angostura bitters, and Demerara cordial; and The Eternal Elixir, a martini-style concoction featuring cucumber-infused Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru, Martini Bianco, Absinthe, Yellow Chartreuse, and a Maraschino cherry.
