05 February 2025 - Lost Shore Surf Resort, Europe’s largest inland surf destination, has been making waves since opening its doors on November 11, 2024.
In just a few months, the resort has already welcomed thousands of surfers into its state-of-the-art wave pool, with over half of them beginner surfers. Last weekend alone, over 500 people took to the waves and the resort is celebrating its growing popularity by introducing an exciting new “Surf and Stay” package, to attract further surfers around the globe.
Projected to host more than 160,000 visitors annually and contribute up to £20 million to the local economy each year, Lost Shore Surf Resort is fast becoming a must-visit destination for surf enthusiasts and travellers alike.
To mark the launch, Lost Shore Surf Resort has partnered with Loganair to offer a Fly, Surf & Stay giveaway. One lucky winner will receive a 2-night stay for up to four people, including flights with Loganair, two surf sessions or lessons per person, accommodation in a Waterfront Lodge, and £400 resort credit to use on food, wellness treatments, shopping, and SurfSkate.
Lost Shore Surf Resort is located in Ratho just outside Edinburgh, and five minutes from the airport. The new “Surf and Stay” package combines unique on-site accommodation with world-class surfing experiences. Perfect for groups of up to eight, the package caters to surfers of all levels, from beginners to seasoned pros, providing flexibility and adventure in equal measure.
Andy Hadden, Founder of Lost Shore Surf Resort, said:
“Our vision when opening Lost Shore late last year was to introduce the incredible sport of surfing to a whole new audience. We’re proud to say we’re making significant strides in achieving that goal. Over half of the visitors who have experienced our state-of-the-art wave pool so far have booked beginner lessons, highlighting the growing interest in surfing and a desire to try something new.
“We welcomed over 500 surfers last weekend alone and, being located just minutes from Edinburgh airport, we’re also seeing a growing number of European and international visitors. We’re pleased to launch our new ‘Surf and Stay’ packages, designed to encourage even more people to try out the waves. It offers fantastic value and the perfect opportunity for couples, families and groups to enjoy an unforgettable surfing experience together whilst staying in our unique Waterfront Pods, or spacious Hilltop Lodges.”
Available for bookings until May 31, 2025, the “Surf and Stay” package is an invitation to dive into the thrill of surfing while enjoying the comfort and style of Lost Shore’s accommodation.
Guests can choose between staying in Waterfront Pods or Hilltop Lodges, with packages including:
• Waterfront Pods: Starting at £490 for 2 guests, enjoy 2 or 3-night stays with up to 6 surfs included.
• Hilltop Lodges: Starting at £1,180. Packages are available for 4-8 guests for 2 or 3-night stays with up to 32 surfs included.
