itison Us, the charity arm of daily deals company and major event producer itison has donated more than £450,000 worth of experiences to small, local charities around Scotland since launching in 2019, and today the company is urging brilliant local charities to apply for support in 2025.
About itison Us
• First launched in 2019, itison Us provides much-needed respite and support to small local charities by donating thousands of free experiences designed to bring joy during challenging times
• Each year, 30 small charities are selected for the programme across Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen. Last year’s recipients in Edinburgh included the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, Team Jak, MND Scotland and Care for Carers among others.
• Each month successful charities receive a tailored pack of gift vouchers such as overnight stays, spa breaks, meals out and event and attraction tickets which can be gifted to service users, volunteers, or used as fundraising prizes.
• The application process is quick and easy to ensure accessibility for small charities with limited time or resources and itison absorbs all admin and labour costs, making it simple for charities to get involved.
How to Apply
Applications are open now at www.itison.com/us. The deadline is 21st February 2024, and successful charities will be announced at the start of April.
Oli Norman, CEO of itison, said: “Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of donating thousands of experiences to small, local charities and seeing the joy they bring.
“We know that many small charities often miss out on opportunities for support because of lengthy, complicated application processes.
We’ve made ours really straight forward so that more charities can benefit and have the option themselves of how they want to use the vouchers – whether that’s rewarding amazing volunteers for their time and effort, giving experiences to people using their services or to help with fundraising as raffle or auction prizes.
“If you’re part of a small charity, or know one doing brilliant work in your area, we’d love to hear from you.”
Since the initiative launched in 2019, over 20,000 experiences have been donated and itison, which has also raised close to £4 million for Social Bite over the years, aims to put a spotlight on smaller charities to showcase the important work they do.
