11 December, Edinburgh:
From today, customers and audiences visiting the bars at Festival Theatre and The Studio will be able to enjoy The Secret Garden Distillery gin long serves from the bespoke bar in Foyer 1 as well as house serves at all other theatre bars and the café.
Based at the foot of the Pentlands, The Secret Garden Distillery offers a premium gin that is all-natural and inspired by its very own Secret Garden – home to 600 varieties of plants harvested on site and included in their gins. Providence is at the heart of everything this female-run distillery does, from seed to sip.
The Secret Garden Distillery’s values chime well with Capital Theatres’ ethos, with its dedication to sustainable production, a respect for the magic of nature and mission to create a sensory adventure through each one of its gins. All of these principles are echoed in Capital Theatres’ vision to share extraordinary live experiences with everyone, and its own commitment to sustainability and community.
Fiona Gibson, Chief Executive of Capital Theatres said:
“We’re thrilled to find partners in The Secret Garden Distillery, a company, like ourselves, based in Edinburgh and with a reach which stretches nationally and beyond. As Scotland’s largest theatre charity, we’re passionate about working alongside local businesses who share our values around excellence, community and the environment. The magic of their botanical-inspired gins feels perfectly at home in the Festival Theatre – especially during panto season!”
Fraser Heeps, Brand Development Manager of The Secret Garden Distillery said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to partner with Capital Theatres and bring the essence of our Secret Garden to such an iconic Edinburgh venue. Both our distillery and Capital Theatres share a passion for sustainability, creativity, and community, making this collaboration a natural fit. We hope audiences enjoy the unique, all-natural flavours of our gins, crafted from botanicals grown just a few miles away. Here’s to celebrating the magic of live performance and the spirit of nature – cheers!"
