Award-winning cinnamon roll brand SHOT ‘N’ ROLL announce St James Quarter opening!
The kiosk will open 7 days a week offering a rotating line up of the pop-punk inspired brands popular cinnamon rolls and tray bakes, including brownies and brookies.
SHOT ‘N’ ROLL have been gaining a strong name for themselves in the Northeast coffee and bakes sector since they burst on to the scene in October 2023 up in Aberdeen. Now boasting 3 locations in the Granite City, this will be the brands first venture into the central belt.
With up to 8 different flavours of cinnamon rolls on offer at any given time, there’s always sure to be something to lure in those with a sweet tooth, even those following a plant-based diet – with the rolls recipe all naturally vegan. Guests are keenly encouraged to enjoy the rolls warm, ensuring the melted cinnamon sugar throughout the dough loosens and creates the perfect warming autumnal treat. The range of flavours on offer will continually change, featuring ever-popular options like banoffee pie, tiramisu and strawberry frosted birthday cake.
Director of SHOT ‘N’ ROLL David Griffiths said: “We’re really excited about the opportunity to bring SNR to the capital. We have regularly heard of people traveling up to our stores Aberdeen from Edinburgh and get constant messages requesting we open up here after finding us on social media. It’s fantastic to now be able to spend the Autumn season expanding the reach of the business and what better day to kick of than National Cinnamon Roll Day – Oct 4th!"
With a 60-seater flagship cafe, shopping mall kiosk and a city suburb grab & go store which also houses their own bakery, it’s been a busy first year for the independent business, which currently serves upwards of 5,000 cinnamon rolls a week in Aberdeen alone. After just 5 months trading, they saw off stiff competition to claim the Federation of Small Businesses Scottish Start-Up Business of the Year award back in March 2024.
Opening times for the pop-up kiosk in SJQ will be 11am-7pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm-6pm on Sundays.
Official opening is at 11am on Friday 4th October.
