For those seeking refuge from the vibrant energy of the iconic Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Tattu Edinburgh are offering guests a simple yet indulgent Taste of Tattu menu with 2 courses for £28 and three courses for £33.50. Guests will also be treated to their choice of complimentary bubbles, Asahi or soft drink for all pre-booked tables dining from the Taste of Tattu menu throughout the Fringe.
Inspired by both the rich historic and contemporary qualities of the city, Tattu Edinburgh blends traditional Chinese interior design with reflective surfaces to introduce a modern aspect. The relationship between New Town and Old Town is in harmony with the part modern, part heritage building they call home, and is perfectly located for those visiting the city for the Festival.
The Taste of Tattu menu highlights include starters of Wild mushroom & black truffle spring rolls, Pan seared pork dumplings and Sugar salt crispy squid with green sweet chilli, pomegranate and mint. Main dishes include Tattu’s signature Wok fired angry bird, Sea bass Chinese curry, Kung Po tofu with pineapple, green beans and lotus or Caramel soy aged steak for a small supplement. Indulgent desserts include Tattu’s masterful Cherry Blossom with cherry, chocolate and candy floss, or Asian pear sticky toffee pudding.
To mark the festival, Tattu have created a new cocktail, their elixir of the month, in collaboration with Manchester Gin, paying homage to their northern roots. The Yishu Reviver, named after the Chinese word for ‘art’ and human creativity, is an ideal tonic to long days exploring the city, and late nights taking in the shows. Made with one part Manchester Gin, one part Sake and one part Vermouth, set off with honey and orange, the cocktail is a sweet and restorative creation ideal for the summertime.
The Yishu Reviver and the Taste of Tattu menu and complimentary drink is available throughout the Fringe Festival on Monday-Thursday from 12-6 / 9-close, Fridays from 12-6, Saturdays from 12-3 and Sundays all day. Guests who pre-book their table and request the Taste of Tattu menu will be offered a complimentary glass of bubbles, Asahi beer or soft drink of their choice. For reservations and more information, guests can visit the website here.
