2nd May 2024 – Laser Station, part of Funstation Ltd in partnership with Cash For Kids, is thrilled to announce the success of its recent Laser Marathon fundraiser, held across its Hull, Braehead, and Edinburgh locations. The event, aimed at supporting local Cash for Kids charities, proved to be a remarkable achievement, raising a total of £2266.
The Laser Marathon Fundraiser, held from 22nd April to 28th April, saw tremendous community support, with families of all ages coming together to back this great cause. Laser Station teams kicked off the week with a 12-hour Laser Marathon, setting the tone for a week of laser fun. Every £1 from laser ticket sales throughout the week went directly to Cash For Kids with Laser Station doubling the final amount.
Lauren Baxter, Partnerships Manager & Regional Manager, Cash For Kids says, "What a brilliant result! I’m thrilled everyone had lots of fun along the way. To put it in perspective, £5.50 provides food for one child a day, so Laser Station has helped 412 children with their donation."
Laser Station was incredibly touched by the overwhelming positive response and support from local PR, media outlets, and radio stations, including Bauer Media radio stations in Hull, Braehead, and Edinburgh, an official media partner with Cash For Kids.
"This is our first charity event with our new partnership with Cash For Kids," says Chris Alexander, Head of Marketing at Laser Station run by Funstation Ltd. "The event was a great success, raising much-needed funds for disadvantaged families in the local area. We're very proud of how everything turned out and have more plans in the pipeline to work with our new charity partner.“
Both Cash For Kids and Laser Station extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported the Laser Marathon fundraiser, whether through bookings, donations, or promotion. Together, it has demonstrated the power of community and compassion in making a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children in need.
This week, on 2nd May, Laser Station was invited to Cash for Kids' Big Breakfast Day, partnered with Hit Radio Lincolnshire at East Yorkshire & Yorkshire Coast & Lincolnshire, to present them with the cheque to help disadvantaged children in need around the local areas of Hull, Braehead, and Edinburgh. With plans to continue strengthening their partnership in the future.
