Located in the St James Quarter in the heart of Edinburgh, The Dookit Bar takeover at Bonnie & Wild will feature an exclusive cocktail menu showcasing The Botanist Islay spirit from Thursday, 29th February to Sunday 31st March 2024.
With both brands passionate about quality, sustainability and local sourcing, the partnership between The Botanist, Scotland’s first B-Corp gin, and Bonnie & Wild is the perfect celebration of Scotland’s forward-looking distilling industry.
The Botanist team says the bar takeover at Bonnie & Wild will showcase the global launch of two new releases: The Botanist Cask Rested Gin and Cask Aged Gin. The tailor-made, designed for the Bonnie & Wild event, will showcase different drinks, giving customers a sensory example of The Botanist's cocktail excellence. During the month-long activation, a special Mother’s Day cocktail the ‘Islay Spring Punch’, will also be featured and will be available on the menu from 7th March to 10th March, along with the ‘Islay 75’, a cocktail designed to mark B-Corp month and, available from 21st until 24th March.

Other cocktails on offer will include West Coast Fizz with The Botanist Islay Dry Gin and soda with a lemon and mint twist; White Negroni with The Botanist Islay Dry Gin, with bitter orange rhubarb; Islay Paloma with The Botanist Rested Gin, with a citrus zest and refreshing soda; Islay Martinez featuring The Botanist Aged Gin, with maraschino cherry and Orange bitters; Bruichladdich Penicillin - a twist on the classic Penicillin cocktail featuring Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie and Port Charlotte 10-year-old whisky with lemon, honey and ginger infusions; and The Hebrides Old Fashioned - a blend of Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie and Port Charlotte 10-year-old whisky, topped with bitter orange.
Located on Islay in the Inner Hebrides in Scotland, The Botanist is conceived, distilled and hand-crafted at Bruichladdich, which is a B Corp Certified Distillery and brings together 22 hand-picked botanicals foraged from Islay to create a beautifully balanced gin. Customers will be privileged to taste the newly released Aged and Rested gins. The Botanist Cask Aged Gin opens with sweet, fresh fruit flavours blended with vanilla ice cream and toasted oak. The depth of the casks and the gentle, earthy spices warm the palate whilst allowing The Botanist's floral and herbal notes to remain at the heart of the profile. In contrast, The Botanist Cask Rested Gin delivers warm spices and candied citrus peel on the nose and the palette a symphony of botanicals along with food spice, oak, fresh herbal notes, juniper, coriander and citrus.
