HcL (Handicabs Lothian) 2024 charity bungee jump will be taking place on Saturday the 27th of April 2024 This is the first purpose-built, permanent bungee jump platform from a bridge in Britain, set over the Killiecrankie bridge based in the stunning surroundings of ancient forests in Perthshire.
Part of us celebrating 41 years in service is the Highland Fling Bungee Jump, we are looking for individuals and corporate teams to join our staff team in raising awareness of the charity and raising essential funds for outings for those that are most vulnerable and isolated within the Lothians.
The bungee jump is also a great way to celebrate the achievements of the charity over the last 41 years, the success of supporting thousands of people to get out and about on our adapted transport which caters for those people living with mobility challenges and long term conditions. This is done through our Dial-A-Bus and Dial-A-Ride services. This is a great way for corporate teams and individuals to challenge themselves while taking part in a once in a lifetime experience. Transport and fundraising support is available on request. All you have to do is raise funds and BUNGEE!
HcL Fundraising Manager Dolina Gorman stated: “We are extremely excited about this event which will raise essential funds for HcL to provide Summer and Winter outings in 2024 for those in the community that are socially isolated, we thank all of those taking part in this event, it means a great deal to us ”.
Our service users feedback:
“I cannot overestimate how very good this service is, especially having the drivers take shopping in to the kitchen for me. I have several steps to my front door and being disabled I wouldn’t be able to manage this without their help. Office staff and drivers are always very helpful and cheerful.”
For more information and to book your place please contact dolina.gorman@handicabs.org.uk or call/text 07546711195 (there are no upfront costs, just a minimum sponsorship of £200 by April 2024)
